THE SADIE COLLECTIVE (PRESENT): BOARD MEMBER, THE ORGANIZATION AIMS TO BRING TOGETHER BLACK WOMEN AT DIFFERENT STAGES IN THEIR ACADEMIC AND/ OR PROFESSIONAL CAREERS IN THE QUANTITATIVE SCIENCES TO SHARE RESOURCES, NETWORK, AND ADVOCATE FOR BROADER VISIBILITY IN THE FIELD. THE COLLECTIVE STRIVES TO CREATE SAFE SPACES WHERE BLACK WOMEN IN THESE FIELDS CAN OBTAIN THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO THRIVE. THE COLLECTIVE IS WORKING TO CENTER BLACK WOMEN IN THE ECONOMY WHILE SHIFTING INEQUITABLE POWER STRUCTURES THAT CREATE BARRIERS TO ACCESS IN ECONOMICS SO THAT EVERYONE CAN FULLY PARTICIPATE IN THESE FIELDS.
JACK AND JILL OF AMERICA, INC WEST GEORGIA CHAPTER, 2020-PRESENT: SERVE AS LEGISLATIVE CHAIR ASSISTING WITH VOTING AND POLITICAL INITIATIVES, REPRESENT THE CHAPTER WITH REGIONAL DAY AT THE CAPITOL AND THE NATIONAL “ON THE HILL” SUMMIT. MEMBER OF THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE ASSISTING WITH REVIEW OF POLICIES, PROCEDURES, BYLAWS, AND WORK TO RECOGNIZE MOTHERS FOR THEIR SERVICE TO THE ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNITY.
PERFORMANCE BASED FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS CENTER BOARD (PBF ARTS), 2018-PRESENT: SERVE AS BOARD MEMBER AND CHAIR OF THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE. ASSIST WITH FUNDRAISER THE ANNUAL RACE FOR MUSIC, AND MUSIC RECITALS.
BRIGHTEN ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL GOVERNING BOARD, 2017-2018: SERVE AS THE CHAIR OF ORGANIZATION FOR THREE ACADEMIC YEARS. ENSURE BOARD MEMBER MEETING ANNUAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS OF THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. MANAGE THE HIRING AND RECRUITING PROCESS FOR BOARD MEMBERS TO MAINTAIN THE ÂADEQUATE BOARD LEADERSHIP.
AMERICAN ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATION DIVERSITY SECTION COORDINATOR, 2016-2018: SERVE AS COORDINATOR FOR TWO ACADEMIC YEARS TO PLAN THE ANNUAL SECTION CONFERENCE. IDENTIFY AND CONTACT GUEST SPEAKERS FOR THE CONFERENCE. DETERMINE CONFERENCE LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATIONS. CONDUCT OUTREACH TO INCREASE CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION AND RECRUIT.
ANNUAL HBCU ALUMNI ALLIANCE RUN/WALK: 2009-2015: PARTICIPATE AS A RUNNER IN THE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER FOR STUDENTS OF THE PARTICIPATING HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. RANKED NUMBER ONE IN DIVISION FOR 2014.
FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOP – PREPARING FOR COLLEGE (UPWARD BOUND): 2014 AND 2015, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE: CREATE AND FACILITATE A SEMINAR ON COLLEGE PLANNING TO INCLUDE BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL PLANNING, THE IMPORTANCE OF ACT AND SAT SCORES, AND IDENTIFICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. INFORM STUDENTS ON HOW TO IDENTIFY COLLEGES RELATIVE TO POTENTIAL MAJOR, LOCATION, AND COSTS. COUNSEL STUDENTS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS FOR A PERSONAL ASSESSMENT.

DEMONSTRATE HOW TO MANAGE BUDGET AND CUT PERSONAL EXPENSES. DISCUSS THE IMPORTANCE OF LIFE INSURANCE, LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE, AND PROVIDE INSURANCE OPTIONS. COLLABORATE WITH BANK REPRESENTATIVE TO DISCUSS BANKING OPTIONS AND CHOICES. CONDUCT COURSES USING FDIC MONEY SMART CURRICULUM FOR ADULTS, STUDENTS, AND KIDS.
ILEAD CONFERENCE – DRESS FOR SUCCESS: 2014, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY: CREATED AND FACILITATED A WORKSHOP ON BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE. PROVIDED EXAMPLES PROPER INTERVIEW ATTIRE AND CORPORATE CAREER CLOTHING TO MAINTAIN PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND REPUTATION.
EXTERNAL PROGRAM REVIEW – BACHELORS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION-ACCOUNTING (BBA) AND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH): 2014, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY: CONDUCTED ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF THE BBA ACCOUNTING PROGRAM FOR THE OFFICE OF INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING & EFFECTIVENESS. REVIEWED THE SELF STUDY AND CONSULTED WITH FACULTY, STAFF, STUDENTS, AND ADMINISTRATORS. MET WITH AFFILIATED CONSTITUENTS, ACADEMIC DEAN, AND VICE PRESIDENT OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS. ISSUED A CONCLUDING REPORT REGARDING VIABILITY OF THE PROGRAM, EVIDENCE OF STUDENT LEARNING AND FACULTY PRODUCTIVITY, BEST PRACTICES WITHIN THE PROGRAM AS WELL AS STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES. PROVIDED RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROGRAMMATIC IMPROVEMENTS.
AUDITING SECTION -AUDIT EDUCATORS’ BOOTCAMP, 2012, AMERICAN ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATION: ATTENDED AND PARTICIPATED IN DISCUSSIONS OF CURRENT PRACTICES RELATED TO THE AUDITING PROFESSION TO INCLUDE VARIOUS TOPICS SUCH AS AUDIT PLANNING, INTERNAL CONTROLS, RISK, MATERIALITY AND SUBSTANTIVE TESTING.
